Is StriVectin-SD® safe?
Yes, safety data for ingredients found within the StriVectin® products are closely examined during product development. Additional tests are completed on finished formulas. For additional information on product safety, refer to package warnings.
Are there any potential skin reactions to StriVectin-SD®?
There is always a potential at any time for a customer to react to an ingredient(s) contained in a product. In a small group of individuals, a warm flush caused by the NIA-114™ technology can occur. Niacin causes small blood vessels in your skin to expand and increase blood flow, presenting as a warm, red, sometimes itchy feeling on the skin. Do not be concerned as this is a natural effect of Niacin that will dissipate with continued use.
A ‘first blush’ generally lasts no more than 1-2 hours and dissipates as the molecule is used up by the cells. As you continue to use the products over 7-10 days, your skin cells adjust to the increase in Niacin and flushing no longer occurs.
Can I prevent a flush reaction?
Yes. Apply a test patch of one of the StriVectin-SD products to the jawline or side of the neck and monitor the area for at least 30 minutes to test your skin’s tolerance.
What should I do if a flush occurs?
Immediately apply a cold compress to the face to reduce the blood flow and to calm and soothe the skin. Recommend an introductory regimen for beginning the products again – using only 1 product once per day, applying a very light application until skin adjusts.
Can StriVectin-SD® help with acne scars or other types of scarring?
Although this product has not been clinically tested for scarring, it does contain peptides which stimulate collagen production, known to be beneficial for improving the appearance of scars.
Is it oil-free?
While StriVectin-SD® is free of mineral oils, it is not completely oil-free.
Is StriVectin-SD® a moisturizer?
Yes. Containing ingredients such as an Advanced Moisture Complex, ceramides and sodium hyaluronate, StriVectin-SD® provides not only treatment for stretch marks and wrinkles but also multi-level hydration to re-densify skin’s natural cushion.
Can all skin types and colors use StriVectin-SD®?

Do I need to continue using StriVectin-SD® after the stretch marks are gone?

Continual use of StrIVectin® ensures collagen will remain strong and able to counteract the effects of aging and environmental stress.

Is StriVectin-SD® Eye Concentrate ophthalmologist-tested?
Yes. It has been ophthalmologist-tested and proven safe to use around the eyes.
How do you apply the Eye Concentrate?
The best method for applying an eye cream is to use your fourth fingers to “pat and dab” a small amount of product around the orbital bone. Start under the eyes at the bridge of the nose and move upward and outward to the eyebrows. Avoid the eyelid.
What if you get some of the product in your eye?
Immediately flush your eye with warm water. If irritation continues, consult a physician for additional recommendations.
What is the difference between a physical and chemical exfoliant?
A physical exfoliant removes dead cells on skin’s surface through manual or physical manipulation. Chemical exfoliants are low‑pH ingredients that dissolve the intracellular cement between cells to enable easier sloughing from the skin’s surface.
Can I use the Overnight Facial Resurfacing Serum™ twice a day?
Yes. You may use the Overnight Facial Resurfacing Serum™ twice daily to accelerate exfoliation results.
Do I need to keep using the Overnight Facial Resurfacing Serum™ as a maintenance product?
As we age, our skin’s natural exfoliating enzymes decrease so that cells are not sloughed off as efficiently, building up on the surface and contributing to a dull, uneven look. Using the Overnight Facial Resurfacing Serum™ as part of a daily maintenance routine can ensure optimal exfoliation to maintain an even texture, tone, smoothness and luminosity.
Can this product be irritating?
No. The exfoliants in the Overnight Facial Resurfacing Serum™ naturally and gradually convert to salicylic acid and drive your skin’s natural exfoliation enzymes, avoiding the irritation that can occur with direct application of salicylic acid or other harsh chemicals.
