There are two kinds of UV rays.
UVA = Ultraviolet long-wave rays (penetrate deeper)
UVA rays are less intense than UVB, but they pass through the ozone layer with ease. That means they are present during daylight hours pretty much all year round. They penetrate clouds and windows - even at the office.
